Although players were almost desperate about Xbox’s release of “Banjo Bear Trio”, which they had been waiting for 25 years, fortunately, a fan developer is making up for this regret by creating a stunning tribute with the creative tool “Dreams”.

“Dreams” is a game creation tool developed by Media Molecule, the developer of “LittleBigPlanet”. Although PlayStation has gradually faded this game from the public eye since the official support ended in 2023, this has not stopped developer William Batkevithean (nicknamed Eupholace) from using it to create an amazing Banjo Bear fan game.

It should be noted that the scale of the game “Treasure Mania” is much smaller than that of the complete sequel, containing only one level. It perfectly replicates the appearance of the second world “Treasure Bay” of the original game and incorporates a series of new challenge mechanisms. Although the clearance time was only about 30 minutes, its completion level was still admirable.
This work even attracted the attention of the original development team. Greg Mels, the project leader of the original Banjo Bear, highly praised the game’s release news as “amazing” when he reposted it. Legendary composer Grant Kirkhope also shared related updates. Even the official account of Rare Studio wore the “most exquisite top hat” to pay tribute: “Amazing creation!”

It is worth noting that Eupholace is not only an outstanding fan developer but also a level designer at Moon Studios, having participated in the production of the action RPG “Malice Never Goes”. According to him, the development of such fan projects might be postponed in the future.
“Treasure Mania has only one level and no expansion plans for now, “Eupholace tweeted.” I hope to take a break from the big Dreams project right now.” Unless I can get the chance to participate in the official development of “Banjo Bear Trio” (which would excite me greatly), this stage will come to an end.
