Florence

Florence is a city in central Italy and the former capital of Italy. It is an extremely famous world art capital, leaving behind countless treasures and history for future generations. Its most glorious period was the Renaissance, when it gathered extremely influential celebrities such as Leonardo Da Vinci, Dante, Galileo, Raphael, Michelangelo and Titian. Nowadays, in the urban area, one can still find Dante’s former residence, which exudes a strong sense of historical weight. It seems as if one can feel the gap between time and space, catch a glimpse of the home where the great man grew up, and appreciate his unrestrained splendor.

The renowned Chinese poet Xu Zhimo fell in love with Florence from the very beginning. His poems are fresh in language, harmonious in rhythm and beautiful in artistic conception. The faint feelings between him and Lin Huiyin are touching. His marriage to Lu Xiaoman was passionate and affectionate. Perhaps due to the richness of his emotions, he transliterated the name of Florence as “Feilengcui”, adding a dreamy poetic touch

The Basilica di Santa Maria del Fiore is a city landmark and is known as one of the three major domes in ancient Europe along with the Pantheon and St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome. Not only does it have many historical sites, but it is also a very suitable small city for living. European cities are generally not very large, but they are full of the flavor of life. Wander around the city at will. You can measure it on foot in a day. Everywhere you look, there are hotels, restaurants and small convenience stores. It’s especially lively at night.

In Florence, I saw many Korean and Japanese travelers. Even in Rome at the back, there were also many Asian tourists. The Koreans were generally in groups, while the Japanese were in twos and threes, speaking in a very low voice. Many of them were very young, as if they were having a vacation. I met quite a few people staying in the same hotel. Of course, this cultural ancient city has many tourists from all over the world. I experienced a lot of local delicacies in Florence, including freshly baked pizza. I have gradually fallen in love with pasta, especially when you add some vegetables. It tastes wonderful. But until I returned home, I still couldn’t figure out the name of that vegetable, which is a little regrettable.

The city of Florence is not large, but it is extremely convenient. Many people fall in love with it as soon as they visit. Staying there for a few days to savor the elegance of ancient celebrities and also experience the local life atmosphere, this city will be visited again in the future. It is a place worth remembering
