Mermaid Island retains the charm of the original island. The long stretch of white sandy beach and the crystal-clear sea water make the rich underwater resources a great place for snorkeling. Both adults and children can get up close and personal with the colorful fish and corals!
Don’t forget to experience the dreaminess of Blue Tears and a genuine seafood meal. Don’t miss the sunset in the evening either.
Blue tears is a kind of noctiluca scintillans. At night, you can see the glowing algae floating on the sea, which is very beautiful

Spa Private Beach
Itinerary: Yesterday’s snorkeling might have been a bit tiring. Today, you can sleep until you wake up naturally and then enjoy the hotel’s facilities. Mom can enjoy a spa, Dad and kids can experience golf, or go to a private beach or swimming pool to play in the water together. They can also have some fun at the children’s park!
If you have time in the afternoon, you can go to Tanjong Yalu Beach to play with sand and water, enjoy the sunshine and sea breeze, and watch the beautiful sunset.

Visit Longwei Bay and KAWA Mangrove Forest
Itinerary: Longwei Bay is an ideal place for family outings.
Parents can enjoy competitive beach volleyball on the island, thrilling banana boat rides, enjoyable surfing and swimming, and the arch-blowing technique used by the indigenous people when hunting. When they get tired, they can rest in the hammocks in the nearby woods and sheds, which is very pleasant.
This place is definitely a paradise for children. Blowing arrows, batik, drawing, hammocks, and catching crabs can all satisfy children’s curiosity in no time!
The Kawa mangrove Forest is one of the three major mangroves in Kota Kinabalu and is renowned for its sunset on the tidal flats. Here, you can also see proboscis monkeys, fireflies and so on. Kawa was developed relatively late, so its original ecosystem remains relatively intact and there are more fireflies. I’m sure children will be pleasantly surprised to see these fireflies!

After the meal and sightseeing, return to the hotel for a short rest. Then the driver will pick you up at the hotel and take you to Kota Kinabalu Airport, bringing this family island trip to an end!
